Electronic notarization lets us meet through Notary Hub by secure live video instead of in the same room. You upload and sign an electronic document there, and I complete it with my registered electronic signature and notarial certificate.
The appointment can be conducted in English or Russian when I can communicate with the signer directly. Explaining the procedure in Russian is not a translation of the document or legal advice.
Where you may join from
I must be physically located in New York when I perform the electronic act.
- If you are in the United States, you do not have to be in New York.
- If you are outside the United States, the document or transaction must have the specific U.S. connection required by New York law.
Your location is only one part of eligibility. The document, receiving organization, identity method, witnesses, and applicable rules still matter. Some matters require a local or consular notary, an original paper document, or another procedure.
Ask the recipient before booking
The finished document is normally an electronically signed PDF. Before scheduling, ask the person or organization receiving it:
- Will you accept a New York electronic notarization?
- Do you need the original electronic PDF or a paper copy?
- Is a Certificate of Authenticity required for a printed record?
- Do you require specific certificate wording or witnesses?
I perform the notarial act under New York law, but I cannot promise that every recipient will accept the result.
Identification and technology
You will need a compatible device with a camera and microphone, a reliable internet connection, and acceptable unexpired identification. Notary Hub handles document upload, appointment selection, identity verification, the live audio-video session, and payment for the online appointment.
Not every ID or device will pass the platform’s checks. If a step fails, we may have to reschedule or use a different permitted appointment format.
Price
- First electronic notarial act: $25.
- Each additional act in the same session: $15.
- Payment is collected through Notary Hub. There is no separate Crawford Notary technology surcharge.
The price is based on the number of notarial acts—not simply the number of pages, signatures, seals, or people. Notary Hub shows the applicable electronic-notarization price before it collects payment.
If you later need paper
For an electronic act I performed, I may be able to print the record and complete a Certificate of Authenticity. This is commonly called papering out.
- Certificate of Authenticity: $2 per certificate.
- Mailing or delivery: actual cost approved in advance.
Only the electronic notary who performed the original act can issue that certificate for the record. Papering out is not a general certified-copy service, and the recipient should confirm that it will accept the paper version.
Recording and privacy
New York requires a notarial record and an audio-video recording of the electronic act to be kept for at least ten years. Upload documents and identification for electronic notarization only through Notary Hub. Do not send them through Square, ordinary email, or the public contact form.
Reasons an appointment may stop
I may be unable to proceed if identity verification fails, I cannot communicate directly with the signer, the signer appears unwilling or unaware, required wording or witnesses are missing, the document is incomplete for the requested act, the overseas connection is insufficient, or a safety, fraud, legal, or technology concern remains.
When you have the document and the recipient’s instructions, open the booking page to continue to my Notary Hub profile and choose an available time.
I can explain the notarial procedure, but I cannot tell you which document or certificate will accomplish your legal goal.
