For a traditional paper notarization, I travel to an agreed location in Manhattan. That may be a home, office, hotel, hospital, rehabilitation center, or care facility when the location permits access and offers a safe place to meet.
Crawford Notary is a mobile service, not a walk-in office. My residential address is not offered as a regular client location.
Before I confirm the visit
Square will ask for the full Manhattan service address, preferred time, and the $50 mobile fee. Please also provide the number of signers, requested notarial act, type of identification, and witness details. Bring the complete paper document to the appointment; do not upload it to Square or send it by ordinary email.
The appointment is reserved when Square accepts the $50 mobile payment. If I need another practical detail before the visit, I’ll contact you using the information in the booking.
Fees
The standard Manhattan mobile appointment fee is $50, paid through Square when you book. It is separate from New York’s statutory notarial fees.
Common statutory fees include:
- oath or affirmation and certificate: $2;
- acknowledgment or proof for the first person: $2;
- each additional person in the same acknowledgment or proof: $2; and
- each sworn witness in a proof of execution: $2.
After the completed notarial acts, their separate statutory fees may be paid by contactless card through Square or in cash. The first 15 minutes of waiting is included. If a delay caused by access or lack of readiness continues, additional waiting is $15 per additional 15 minutes. Necessary parking or tolls are charged only at actual cost and only when approved in advance.

Cancellation and rescheduling
Cancel or reschedule at least three hours before the appointment for a full refund of the prepaid mobile fee.
After that cutoff, the $50 mobile fee is not refunded when the visit cannot take place because of a late cancellation, no-show, unavailable signer or witness, lack of access, or another client-side issue. No statutory notarial fee is charged for an act that was not performed.
If I cancel or cannot make the visit for a reason on my side, you may choose a full mobile-fee refund or a new appointment.
Please have ready
- acceptable, unexpired identification;
- the complete document, unsigned when the signature must be witnessed;
- instructions from the recipient about the required notarial act;
- every signer and required witness;
- facility access approval, when applicable; and
- a quiet surface where I can speak with the signer directly.
I may stop if a signer cannot be identified, does not appear willing or aware, cannot communicate directly, or if a document, safety, or legal requirement is not met.
Free Community Notary
Every Crawford Notary service provided through Free Community Notary is free for immigrants, refugees, and people seeking asylum, including the Manhattan mobile appointment. Book the traditional appointment through Square, choose the Free Community Notary option, and provide the service address. There is no $50 mobile fee and no notarial fee. No proof of immigration status is required.
