Can we meet in Russian?
Yes. I conduct appointments in English or Russian when I can communicate directly with the signer. The notarial certificate is usually completed in English. Explaining the procedure in Russian is not document translation or legal advice.
Can I use electronic notarization outside New York?
I must be physically in New York during the act, but a signer may be elsewhere in the United States. A signer outside the country may qualify only when the document or transaction has the connection to the United States required by New York law.
Will every organization accept an online notarization?
No one can promise that. Before booking, ask the recipient whether it accepts a New York electronically notarized PDF and whether it needs the original electronic file, a printout, or a papered-out record.
What identification will I need?
Prepare acceptable, unexpired government-issued identification. Notary Hub also requires its identity-verification steps for an online appointment. Upload identification only there; do not email a copy.
Should I sign the document before we meet?
Leave the signature blank when the form or certificate requires signing in the notary’s presence. An acknowledgment can relate to a signature made earlier, but you must still appear and acknowledge it. If you are unsure, wait.
Can you tell me which notarization I need?
I can explain the procedural difference between an acknowledgment, jurat, oath or affirmation, and proof by a subscribing witness. I cannot choose the legal effect or certificate wording for you. Ask the document preparer, receiving organization, or a licensed attorney.
Do you translate documents or certify copies?
No. I do not translate documents, certify the accuracy of a translation, or issue certified copies. If the recipient requests it, I may be able to notarize a translator’s signature or oath.
What is papering out?
When I have performed an electronic act, I may print that electronic record and complete a Certificate of Authenticity. This is called papering out. It is not a general certified-copy service, and the recipient should confirm that it accepts the paper record.
What does an online appointment cost?
The first electronic notarial act is $25. Each additional act in the same session is $15. Payment is collected through Notary Hub, with no separate Crawford Notary technology surcharge. See pricing examples.
What does a mobile appointment cost?
The Manhattan mobile fee is $50, paid through Square when you book and shown separately from statutory notarial fees. After the completed acts, you may pay their separate fees by contactless card through Square or in cash. Cancel or reschedule at least three hours before the appointment for a full mobile-fee refund.
Do you have an office, and how can I contact you?

Do you offer apostille processing?
No. Apostille service is not currently offered.
What is Free Community Notary?
Free Community Notary makes every Crawford Notary service provided through the program free for immigrants, refugees, and people seeking asylum. Remote appointments use Notary Hub. Traditional mobile appointments use Square: choose the Free Community Notary option and provide the service address; the $50 mobile fee and notarial fees are waived. No proof of immigration status is requested.
Can you help with an immigration form?
No. I cannot choose or complete forms, explain immigration consequences, recommend evidence, or represent you. A U.S. Notary Public is not an immigration attorney.
Can I email my document?
Please do not email documents or identification. For a remote online appointment, upload them only in Notary Hub. For a mobile appointment, bring the complete paper document with you; Square is used for scheduling, the address, and payment—not document upload. The public contact channel is only for a short, general question.

Use Notary Hub for electronic notarization. Use Square for a mobile appointment in Manhattan. Both booking options are available now.
Can a notary refuse an appointment?
Yes. I may decline or stop if identity, willingness, awareness, direct communication, document, witness, technology, safety, fraud-prevention, or legal requirements are not met.
